We had the best time at the Arboretum this weekend! 

Dyer and I both had the weekend off & since it was the last weekend of the Pumpkins at the Arboretum, we had to go!
(plus mama is obsessing over the perfect xmas card pic of the little). 

Isabelle LOVED the pumpkins. 
She was adorable walking around & holding the pumpkins!  Ibelle made a few new friends.  There was even a family there that couldn't believe how much Ibelle looks like her dad.  The funniest part was a young boy (about 7 or 8) told Isabelle that she couldn't touch or hold the pumpkins since it was against the rules.  Oh well, she rule-broke.

Last weekend Isabelle and I took a girls trip to Austin for baby Andrew's sprinkle! 

We had so much fun (aside from the drive, I thought Ibelle would never sit in her car seat again!).  Once we got to Erin's house Isabelle had a chance to play and hangout with Maddie while Grace was at her G'mas playing.  We headed over to Erin's mom, Coco's, house just in time for someone to take a nap!  Sweet Coco even had a precious baby doll waiting for Isabelle when we got there!  We felt at home and slept so well (& the food was SO yummy)!  The party was a success.  It was so fun to meet up with all of Erin's girlfriends that I've come to know well over the years and meet some of Erin's extended family!

The best part: seeing baby bellys x2!!  Not only is Erin pregnant, but her sister Kara (hawkins blog) is pregnant and awaiting baby girl Hawkins in late-April.  I can't wait!  So fun for them to experience all things pregnancy together!

I love my 14 month old.
I love her x1 million.
Everyday {yes, each and everyday} I count my blessings.
I think about her every second I'm not with her. (no lie.)

She can now say so many things (maybe not cleaaarlllyy).
Most recently, ker-key (turkey), hoh-cog (hot dog), chus (shoes) to name a few. Sometimes I can get her to mimic me, so fun. Love this age.

Speaking of shoes!! She is wearing the most darling of little girl shoes! Maryjane Keds (I've been thinking about these shoes from pre-baby times). Thanks gma for the wonderful shoes!!

Candy-givers.

Ibelle and rowdy were our Halloween greeters; candy-givers of sorts.

Isabelle had the funnest of Halloweens. Ibelle was a scary {& darling} spider!! Unfortunately she was sick; there was no trick or treating for our little miss.

As we were about to put her to bed (if you know her, you know if it is a second past 6-6:30 and she isn't in bed we will have a huge meltdown) kids started to come. She would get SO excited that friends were stopping by!!! Between she* and rowdy it couldn't be any cuter!!!

Halloween was so fun!! Can't wait fir next year!!

(* I know your thinking, "where is the gdiaper???". Due to her sickness it was in our best interest to use disposable. Trust me.)

Little miss was a scary spider for her 2nd Halloween!  We had the funnest time!  We went to a Fall Festival with Isabelle's friends; we were able to hang out and play!  We had a blast!!
I've now decided (along with my other mommy friends!) that Halloween just-might-be my most favorite holiday!!  It was so fun to see Isabelle all dressed up.  Although we didn't go trick or treating we had a great time.  Can't wait for next year!

Almost-Hween!

The sweetest pumpkin ever!!

Isabelle loves•loves•loves pumpkins! She thinks she is such a big girl around them since she can touch them/push them over! It is hilarious. She is going to be a little Scary Spider* can't wait!

Ibelle had a Halloween parade at school yesterday, my guess is all the littles looked adorable! She came even came home with a little trick-or-treat bag of candy!! (no lie!). So cute! Good thing m and dad Love candy.
Today we are going with her friends to a Fall Festival; should be a lot of fun!

Isabelle loves to go on walks, all day everyday. She will point to each and everything in sight saying, "s-that" [what's that]. Adorable.

Her favorites: Halloween decorations, Dogs!, birds, pumpkins, people/ specifically kids, cars and flowers.

She absolutely loves when there is a bush or plant that has grown over into the path of the sidewalk. In such a way she can touch it from her stroller! It is so cute; in fact last weekend she was able to pull some leaves off a bush as we strolled by and held them (read: not Ate them) all the way home!!

She is such a big girl and we love her like crazy!!!

SAHD {while mama worked this weekend} • dressing ibelle in the cutest dress and piggies ever • making me laugh, smile, happy, giddy {et al. ok, maybe he has done that everyday for the last just-about-3-years} • {make that 7.5 years} • trying to figure out his Anni gift from me {until the ups guy showed up, argh} • & one of the things he gets most excited about every October: Hween candy for trick-or-treaters!* {no lie, he does this each and every yr} • & fighting me off of said candy** • cheering on the Texans {yep he wears that shirt proudly in Cowboy country} •

If your wondering, I didn't help with the Hween-bag-fill as dh has a 'method'. Or maybe I just like to joke that he does, tee hee!

Eater.

13 months = lots of fun.

• We {finally} have an eater. Ibelle is now eating like a champ, I think that she was a milk junkie and did not want to give it up. All things are loved by her belly, micro-teeny hot dog pieces, cheese, turkey, puffs, raspberries, graham crackers, & her fav: Strawberries. She screams with delight when she sees strawberries!! Here's to a baby foodie!

• She is crawling all over and trying to walk like crazy. She is so persistent and tries her hardest to get her little feet-just-a-walkin!! I will be any day now.

• I absolutely love this age!

• ibelle is now in a new class at school for the 12-18 month olds. So different, but I think she is adjusting

• ibelles uncle turns 16(!!!) this month

• & little miss is already a little defiant thing. Believe it or not, she is testing her boundaries! Just today she had a huge meltdown bc I wouldn't let her stand in her high chair. I'm sure it is nothing compared to what we are in for in the next yr or so, but goodness!!

• the cutest thing ev-er!!!!

• says (something like) "what's that?" and points

• says dada, a lot. Never mama, just dada. & "gog", loves that word

• gets sooo excited when we pick her up from school, the moment she sees us she is starts squealing!!

• had a play date with Ethan and Abby; we had so much fun and can't wait to come back

• very very interested in the world around her. We love that girl like crazy

Super Saturday .

Today is gorgeous! We had some yum lunch then headed over to the park.

Not only is it the place that

Dyer and I got married

3 years ago

but it is memorable for

another reason,

Isabelle's first plane ride.

{of note, when i was little i would jet-set from

the city we were living

to Central TX to visit the Grandparents

sometimes for a full summer. i

would navigate the airport

by myself, no lie, at the age of

11-12 yrs old. times were different back then.

i remember thinking that i was so grown up.}

On the way there Isabelle made herself comfy in her car seat.  I've heard from many mom's that the car seat on the plane (despite paying for another ticket) is well worth it.  I agree.  Humm, now to find someone carry said car seat all over the airport.  I can pack like a champ.  Honestly I brought so many toys to keep her busy + our clothes and things all in one teeny bag!

We got to my great aunt and uncles on Saturday, we had a wonderful lunch and Isabelle had a wonderful nap.  After that,

we played

we ate

we slept

we got lots of hugs and kisses

we had the best time ever.

Sunday was spent at the house.  I love their house.  We have been visiting there for forever, as long as I can remember, likely since I was about 8 or 9 years old.  I have SO many memories there I would love to win the lottery and buy their house in the future, that would. be. perfect.  Sunday night little one woke up with a fever.  I was prepared: thermometer + Tylenol + Motrin + saline and nose cleaner.  Poor baby had developed a viral infection (the same infection that would keep us on our toes alllllll week.  thank you sick day care/ airplane people).  Thankfully Isabelle was still in good spirits must of the day.

Monday we went to Las Palopas, had the yummiest breakfast tacos, then we packed our things and headed out.  It was so bittersweet to leave, we couldn't have asked for a better time but we couldn't wait to see Dyer and get lots of lovin from Rowdy.  We loved being with family!

Recently Isabelle and I went on a big outing.
& by BIG I mean Huge.

We flew to San Antonio to see my aunt and uncle.
It was just as fun, relaxing, yummy-food-eating time as I had hoped for!!

The craziest part of the trip was the airport! The adventure started from 730 Saturday morning, when Isabelle and I had our flight!! We made it there in good time, then the juggling ensued. I had a stroller + car seat + bag + carry on bag.
To say that I packed light is an understatement considering we would be gone for 3 days.

Baby girl found a hair thing that she had in her hair the other day when she got home from school .. She kept trying to put it in her hair and this is what we got 

This is not the first time Isa thought she was a beautician, she will always pull her hair bow out, then try to put it back in her hair (basically putting it behind her head)! So cute!!

12 months already?

I can not believe it has been 12 months since little miss came and graced our lives.  She is by far the sweetest, cutest, loviest thing ever. 
I'm pretty sure when I am at work I think about her once every 60 seconds.  No kidding.

In the last year ICH has brought a love to my heart I never thought was possible.  I could never love anything more.  It seems like just yesterday I was pregnant, just yesterday that she was born, went off to daycare, started cereal, crawled ...
She is the most perfect combination of Dyer and I.  Dyer's looks, his funny personality, and endearing stubbornness.  And she has my feet and love for chatting.  I've learned so much this year, not only about being a mom, but what I am capable of (ahh. remember.. #1, loving something soo stinkin much, and how much patience I really do have.)

In this last month Isabelle has been up to a lot:

uses her baby walker to get everywhere.  she like to stick her baby, sweet pea, in the holder on the front of it (as if it is a little stroller), but then just as quickly as she put her in there she likes to throw her out of it
claps when she hears, "bravo" (<-- her teachers taught her that!)
had her first ounce of whole milk and made the transition very well!  she does still nurse some.  i will secretly miss nursing her, but i will not secretly miss pumping every. single. day.  (although all that pumping did reap a little benefit, not only to little Isa but to little babies all over via the breast milk bank.  ask me if you're interested in donating.)
put more smiles on her mom and dad's face than you can shake a stick at
laughed, and laughed more than ever.  she loves for you to chase her, and then attack her!  (not in the scary attacking kind of way, you know the baby-playful-way.)
had grandpa Skeege visit x2.  visits from Lots of family
.. another ear infection, the left this time (ear infxn #5 or 6ish)
she is standing up from the sitting position, she did it a lot about 2 weekends ago, now she will just do it from time to time.  my good friend erin, a most wonderful and helpful fellow mama, mentioned that maybe isa feels that she has conquered that skill and doesn't need to show off, i would agree
visited with mr's little one, jkr.  he is a hunk!
stopped biting her friends at school
got her 12 month shots.  stats: 23 lbs 2 oz (75-90th), 29.5 inches (50-75th)
newbie to: smacking her lips, followed by ahh (think refreshing-drink-sound), waving bye-bye, saying "ni-ni" (night-night, which is what we call bed time), puts her arm in the air when we say "so big"
had her first birthday party
went to a birthday party
gets excited when she sees her friends in the morning at school
sleeps fairly consistently from 7-11pm,11-7am (she snacks at least once during her night, usually around 11pm)
takes 1-2 naps a day, ranging from 2-2:30 hours total
visited the arboretum
rode a dog
become very interested in playing with the iphone, she will run her finger around the front of it, just like her mama, no lie!
taken her diaper off
sitting forwards in her car seat
continues to eat about the same.  no big advancements.  she does this funny stevie wonder move if you continue to offer her food when she is full, hilarious.
she will take her first plane ride!  just isa + me.  should be interesting :)

Biggie Ibelle is now sitting pretty facing forward!!
This is huge! Poor Isabelle, although safer, facing backwards made for some hot and sweaty days (Isabelle even has a portable fan that faced her since it was so soo hot!!).
Side note: could she be any cuter?!?
